More Fuchsias are blossoming in May (Part 2),

and i have already given the explanation why in part 1.

And, since i and many others are very delighted that- after such a long a break from November until now- the Fuchsias are blossoming again if successfully overwintered, i do want to show more photos of them.

The post-picture shows “Lady Boothby”, the last years always among the latest to sprout out, but this year already flourishing. Quite contrary, my plants “Dancing Flame” and “Brian C. Morrison”, showing blossoms early within the greenhouse the recent years, do show this year: nada, but maybe minute buds. So: there are surprises each year with the Fuchsias, one should keep up the patience!

The hybrid “Checkerboard” blossoms particularly lush for this time of the season this year. The first were to be seen in January, and the plant kept on growing wantonly, and therefore there are more than the scattered few now, as to be seen on this photo. Next the Fuchsias “Jack Shahan”, like “Checkerboard” introduced in 1948, is not to be stopped this year and shines striking with pink color in the sunlight:

Beside that there are other colors and shapes to be admired, because the already blossoming fuchsias are not all the same, but of a large variety. This diversity- in my opinion- is the basis of the fascination of the Fuchsias. The first blossom of “Deep Purple” this year:

And i do not want to withhold the special beauty of a hybrid that did not grow up quite good during the last years, me wondering each time it passed overwintering. But flourishing, “Swanley Gem” is simply beautiful:

“WALZ Bombardon” did find its place already within the garden. As each year, it is blossoming luxuriant, being exposed to direct sunlight, wind and rain, giving me the chance to take many photos of a sight never boring:

And while reminding of two hybrids that have been given the attribute “Fuchsia of the Week” this year i of course have to show the latest photos of “Fly by Night” and “Schneeflocke”. Not that there are no more photos of other Fuchsias from now (and they will be shown), but to demonstrate that they did truly deserved that honor and continue to do so!
