So the requirements are all the same. Enough light, a cosy temperature, water and fertilizer-and our fuchsias are great! Now they might be placed outside the greenhouse, there being no more frosty nights. And that gives cause to considerations about the right placement of the hybrids, exposing them to sunlight or half-shade as they are best suited to. And, of course, to save them from tumbling around due to harsh wind. There will be another post about gadgets to keep them in place even in stormy conditions.
But today i want to place the focus on showing some nice photos, to increase the anticipation for the upcoming season and to further the joy of acquiring new hybrids, though the specialized Fuchsia-Nursery may live!
The number and size of the blossoms is now ever increasing, but not with all my plants. Some of them just start flourishing later, being cut back to achieve bushy Fuchsias.
And, fortunately, there are Hybrids with beautiful colored leafs, that leaves the blossoms less essential. The most ancient example of this is “Autumnale”, dating back into the 19. century.
