He crossbred at last 90 Hybrids between 1936 and 1956 and by this made himself renown to many enthusiasts of these beautiful plants. Unfortunately there are no informations about the lineage and as well not about the reason for its name, originating from the ancient greek myths.

Beside that i do not have many informations about the origin of this hybrid, it is- with its plain, homogenous pink color- one of my favorites. The old and quite large bush that i own did i obtain from the Fuchsia-Paradise Fuhrmann (closed nowadays), and it does flourish each year, given direct sunlight, abundantly.

To push the hybrid into producing this many blossoms once more i do cut it back each year in August, when the first flourishing withered, with very good result each year.
Fortunately there was no problem ever to overwinter it in my greenhouse. And unfortunately this beauty is quite difficult to lay hands on lately even in large Fuchsia-Nurseries, obviously it has gone out of fashion. And i do not understand that in this case, but maybe because the semi-double blossoms are only plain pink without any trendy multi colored texture.
Therefore i will again plant cuttings this year to grow young plants, for having it around me without any risk of loosing it! And i am quite confident that i may get some other Fuchsia-Enthusiasts enthralled for this hybrid as well….
